 Abstract 

Behavioral ethics research suggests that people strive to maintain a positive moral self, but at the same time, they are also tempted to benefit from unethical behavior. This conflict creates psychological distress defined as ethical dissonance (Barkan, Ayal & Ariely, 2015).
